Rev. Bowser was born in Jarvisburg, North Carolina, and raised in Brooklyn, New York.

He entered the United States Army in 1968 and served for four years. He later married Inez Calhoun, who passed away in November 2016. From this union, there are five children: Remee (who passed away January 2025), Bradley (Sonia), Vernon (Theresa), Kim, and Kristy. He also has seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one grand-fur baby.

Rev. Bowser received Christ into his life on a Wednesday night in 1979. In September of that year, he relocated to Harleyville, South Carolina, and joined St. Daniel United Methodist Church.

After joining, he answered the calling to preach God’s word. Later, Rev. Bowser was ordained as Associate Deacon in 1997 and an Elder in 2000. Rev. Bowser now resides in Aiken, SC. He has been preaching for over 45 years. He has pastored Fisher Chapel United Methodist Church in Hardeeville, SC, and St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Ridgeland, SC, for 9 years now. Both churches and their members have grown spiritually and physically under his leadership.

His education and training include Graphic Art. He earned his Theology degrees from Emory University, Ersking Seminary College, and Southern Wesleyan University of Business.

During the time of Covid when having Bible study face-to-face was limited, Rev. Bowser started doing it on a conference line. He also did his church service over the conference line. He then had a vision of doing daily prayer on the conference line. He began that and it has been going on ever since. This prayer line has been shared among people in all states and of all ages. The line is open on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesday, starting at 9:00 am. The prayer line can be accessed at (774)267-2491. All are welcome

Rev. Bowser says, “All the degrees and training don’t mean much, but as long as you know I AM A CHILD OF GOD, that is what really matters”!
